Content Table Cell Properties
 
  1. Text Alignment: Choose to left justify or center align your headline, subheadline, and link.
  2. Headline Text: Specify  the column frame headline and an SEO tag to wrap the text with.
  3. Subheadline Text: Specify the column frame subheadline and an SEO tag to wrap the text with.
  4. Link Text: This is the user-facing text for your link.
  5. Action: Choose an action type for your link.
  6. Tooltip: This tooltip appears to the user when hovered over the link.
 
  1. Table Title Alignment: Center or left align the table title.  This table title more closely matches the style of the table contents than the table headline in the Content tab.
  2. Table Title: This will be the title that sits above the table.
  3. Table Contents: The table contents can be controlled via the options in the toolbar. You can hover over each icon to see a description of its function.
  4. Row Headers: Selecting this option sets the first cell of each row as a header.
  5. Column Headers: Selecting this option sets the first cell of each column as a header.  When selecting both row and column headers, cell A1 should not contain content.
  6. Alternate Row Backgrounds: When this box is checked, the rows of the table will have alternating background colors.
  7. Table Captions: Add a table caption beneath the table.
  8. Table Width: This value represents how far the table stretches across the width of the page from 60-100%.  The table will always remain centered within the page.

Right-click on a cell to bring up Cell Properties to further customize your table:

  1. Width: Change the width in pixels for this cell (and cells in the column).
  2. Height: Change the height in pixels for this cell (and cells in the row).
  3. Horizontal Align: Set the horizontal alignment of the cell to left, center or right.
  4. Vertical Align: Set the horizontal alignment of the cell to top, middle, bottom, or baseline.
  5. Style: You can highlight the cell with a blue border.
  6. Cell type: Change the cell type to data or header.  Default cell type is data.
  7. Apply to: Choose to apply settings above to the single cell, entire row or entire column.

Do's & Don'ts

It’s easy to overload a table with data. Specifically be aware of how many columns and how much content you put into a table to avoid overwhelming the layout and the user.

Do: Keep your tables as simple as possible to convey your data.
Don’t: Have too many columns with a ton of data in them.
